Focused on finishing my 1st book!

I’ve been working really hard on my first book. I’ve decided to stop most work/development on other projects until I feel they aren’t interfering. I just don’t feel like I’m accomplishing as much as I can if I commit all available focus & time to this one. This doesn’t mean I’m not going to get back to other projects eventually, but I really want to get a trilogy (at least) done. The more projects I try to juggle at once, the less successful I am with their quality or finishing them in the time I’d like. I’m super critical of the things I create and myself in general. Juggling wasn’t working. I’m about to start the 7th chapter and a lot of time has passed. I’m not rushing but do think I can get more done faster without sacrificing quality. I’m really excited about the story and think it deserves my full attention. I try to write with complexity and do a lot of research, planning, and world building so this is not something I can juggle with other shit. This is a unique approach to science fiction and I know it will be worth it. So I’m choosing focus and patience by committing to just writing. At least for a while. Especially since I’m not disappointing or letting anyone down by postponing my other projects & ideas. I’m not sure how I want to yet, but I still plan on putting out things from time to time and giving updates on the writing progress and news. Not sure how to do that without spoiling though, so we’ll see. I can’t wait to share this story and following projects with everyone.
